Hi everyone,

Can anyone advise what this inlet is for on my Edelbrock intake manifold? (please see pic for reference).

Thanks!

Beats me, but my guess it's for a bimetal thermal choke spring housing. It looks like you have an electric heated choke control. So you may be able to just cover it with a gasketed plate and move on.

you have a automotive intake manifold that uses a EGR valve. Marine engine dont use that so just block it off or get the correct manifold for your application

All wrong answers, its for a external choke, a heat pipe will bolt directly in that hole or there is a block that bolts on to mount a bimetallic spring thermostat. Just make up a plate to cover it, seal it to the manifold with Permatex Ultra copper high temp silicone.

with the electric choke on the carb, the heat stove would be useless
but I would have used this one
