As some of you have read I am having to put in a re-manufactured engine. I read where a guy over on the Mark Twain forum put an Edelbrock Performer Intake on his while he did his engine swap. Question is are marine intakes the same as auto? I seen some used performer intakes on e-bay for $50-100 & was considering doing this if they are the same.

If you are in fresh water, or have a heat exchanger, you can use an aluminum intake from the automotive world.

However marine intakes are either cast iron, or aluminum with bronze water passages (dual alloy).

Ok, I will probably stick with what I've got then.
Thanks

Or look on EBay for a killer deal on a marine intake
