interchangeable parts...

All I can find for parts listing for available johnson parts only goes back as far as 1968. Will these parts fit into my 1961? I mean will the rds-30 parts fit the rds-23? They are both 40 horsepower but are different years. Please help unless you know of any other websites that list the years older than 1968. I don't know of any other web sites that will list all the parts of the engines, but if you need help with particular parts that will interchange from one motor to another, you can post those questions and someone will know what will work and what won't. Post in the Johnson/Evinrude forum.....
