Been a while since got on the water solo. 1976 70 hp johnnyrude 16 ft fiber tri 13 3/8 19p. w/ full load been geting 30-32 mph @ 5000rpm. Thought i was running 5k solo too @ 34 mph. Yesterday I was turning 5500 5600 at almost 35mph Tail wind may of accounted for the extra 1/2 mph. dead stop broadside in main body I was drifting .6 mph. Should i gain another 500 600 rpm with 450 lbs less weight or do i need to mark my prop and check hub. Maybe tach been reading off....?????? Hope to get out 1 more time w family to see what tach reads. Also discovered i can make it porpoise...lol

A spun hub is a spun hub they seldom will work full throttle you would be lucky to plane.Especially considering your 19 is a little more than the 17 that was standard
according to the Brochure. You might gain as much if the weight made the boat
lay down extra flat.Or if near the stern made it squat.Years ago I had a cheap tach that would read slightly higher as it heated up with use.200 to 300 rpm.
