Interior Paint

Im in the process of bringing my newly purchased 91 Capri back to life and would like to dye/paint the engine cover (light gray) as it is full of marks and dull looking etc. Does anyone have any sugestions on what paint to use that semi looks oem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it covered in vinyl? Is that why you want to use dye? Well, its been tried both ways. I have never seen very good results with either paint or dye. Re-covering it is the best way to change colors. Marine vinyl is pretty cheap and the methods to cover a square box are pretty simple.
