My 06 5.0 carbureted mercruiser is giving me an intermittent split second stall every now and then. The engine doesn`t shutoff, just a split second stall with NO sound. It has the TKS and Ive replaced, plugs, distributor cap, rotor, ignition module and coil. Its running great other than this intermittent problem. I drove it for hours today and it did it probably 3 times over that time period. No rhyme or reason on when it does it either. Sometimes while idling in no wake zone, cruising speed, or just whenever. At this point I`m suspecting carb, or fuel pump. Two high dollar irems. Anybody deal with this issue before??

Definitely worth a try. I`ll do the research on cleaning/ rebuilding carb. Thanks

You might check the shift interrupt switch (Alpha drive). I read of a defective one causing intermittent stalling.
