Internet shortcut icon issue

Sometime over the past few days the icon association with many of my internet explorer shortcuts has changed. All of my shortcuts for any iboats.com links show the Ebay icon. My Google homepage has the iboats.com icon. I have Norton 360 and also Uniblue Regsitry booster, but so far nothing has fixed these issues.
Does anyone have any ideas for me to try?

Do a system restore to a day before the change to your icons.Ron G

This doesn't explain why this happened, but you can change the icon to anything you want by right clicking the icon and selecting properties-change icon. Then pick the one you want.

My system is not allowing me to restore to any previous dates. It allows me to select dates but when the PC reboots it states it is unable to use the selected date.

I am not sure what that Norton360 thing is but it sounds like it might be a system restore program.If it is it probably has locked out access to the windows restore function thereby disabling it.
I have very little faith in any of Symantecs consumer software these days.It assumes control of your computer in ways that you might never know about and causes problems that you might not have otherwise.
I run Norton Utilities from a CD such as windoctor and even then it installs data on your computer that you don't need which I have to delete.
I am not familiar with that Blue thing either but that does not mean much,I just haven't seen it before.
It sounds like you do have a virus and that is what I would be looking for at this point.The AVG program is free if you search for it and very capable in my opinion.Ron G
