Has anyone had any postitive or negative experience with these batteries? I will be changing out mine this year. I staying with lead acid batteries. I hear Trojan makes a very good deep cycle but they are expensive.

Re: Interstate Marine batteries

The ones on my boat are Interstate Marine. They are three years old and are not maintenance free. Got to top em off with distilled water periodically, but seem to be working fine.

Re: Interstate Marine batteries

Thanks. Nice looking TR3. I used to have a 1960 MGA when I was in college. I recently owned a 1959 Jaguar XK150 drophead coupe. I sold it for my boat. Wish I cold have kept both.

Re: Interstate Marine batteries

We have 4 interstate batteries in our Boat among 12 or so batteries. 3 starting batteries and 1 D-8 battery. So far so good but they are only ~2 years old.

Weve drained two of the starting batteries pretty good and they came back no problem. 2 of the starting batteries are on Chevy 305's, 1 is on a generator, and the D-8 powers all the DC lighting and heads so it gets a work out.

Hey Torcano,
My guess is Yellow Lab - if so, it will be a great dog. As far as tail length goes... we have a German Shep/Australian shep mix, and her tail is also very long. We don't allow her in the dinign area when we're eating because when she wags her tail, it reaches over the table and into plates... great dog.
Congrats on it.
BTW, if it is German Shep/Lab mix, it will be good sized, but shoudl be very gentle.
Enjoy,
Jorge

Re: Interstate Marine batteries

Has anyone had any postitive or negative experience with [INTERSTATE marine] batteries?

I imagine that almost everyone who has used an INTERSTATE marine battery has had both a positive and a negative experience with them. Framing your question with those adjectives was delightful to read.

I suspect that your will find replies to this line of inquiry are rather polarized, if I may continue the double entendre.

As for my experience with INTERSTATE marine batteries, good or bad, for me it has been all good. I have two INTERSTATE marine batteries in my boat at present. I expect them to survive their second and third winter of storage, and to give me good service next season.

Re: Interstate Marine batteries

I have used many Interstate batteries in my vehicles. Never in the boats. This was only due to availability and opportunity. I haven't seen them in years. I used to sell them in the late 70's through the mid 80's.
