Re: iPod Dummy needs Answers
Well, I've given up on the iPod.
It was an idea that doesn't work for me for the following reasons.
1. It takes at least an hour to transfer a CD book (say 11 CD's) into iTunes. Tediuos, at best. LONGER if you take all the time to type in Chapter, title, etc.
2. Catagorizing the chapters is impossible (you can't find anything). The chapters/CD's do not stay in order, on the iPod.
3. CD's download in so many different ways, there is no reasoning to help one navigate in the iPod. See #1.
4. The battery life on the iPod is about three hours. The store clerk was WAY OFF on that one. I can triple that with a CD player and two AA batteries.
5. The iPod buttons are far too sensitive. It is more sensitive than a CD player.
I guess they're great for music but not for anything with any length. The length of books on CD does not lend itself to easy navigation.
