Did you all see this? Hundreds of Iraqi Americans celebrate in the streets of Dearborne Michigan, carrying Iraqi and American Flags, many of which are quoted as saying, I love you George Bush and I love you military.

This brought a tear to my eye.

Have not seen it yet, but just goes to prove that these people wanted someone to help them, and the only ones who had the wisdom to do so is the U.S.A. and Great Britan.

This American cheers with those Iraqis.

mellowyellow

I saw on 60 minutes, where Iraqi-Americans a literally chomping at the bit to return to a free Iraq, which is a good thing, because many are professionals (doctors, businessman, etc.), that can really help rebuild their counrty.

They will probably get rich off of it too, but hey, they did live in America ;)

Most appreciate what America has done for them, first by just by letting them take refuge here, but want to return their homeland to rebuild their lives.

We wish them well.

Good point klondike7 and SCO.

Regardless of whether they had troops in-country or not, Every counrty that had the nuts to take a stand and side with the "unpopular" coalition, deserves merit, IMO.

Marty

they'd have to be somewhat wealthy and well
educated to just get out of there IMHO!
they can finally go home and not be afraid
and use their education and skills to help rebuild their homeland.
less than 1mo ago they would have been killed on
sight if they showed their face.
Iraq USED to be a democratic country you know?
what a great day for humanity :D

I know a few Iraqi's now living in the area and some of their stories are absolutely unbelievable.
One of them was locked in a "hole" for five years for simply disagreeing with a "police officer."

Maybe we should send a tape of this to the French people, and Russian, and Chinese, and Canadian, and .......

I guess they didn't realize that Saddam was a weapon of mass distruction. Well, we can't find him...but we know he is there. Sometimes you have to push the "I believe button." Know what I mean.

May God bless them, too.
