is 4 ga wire ok

i want to replace starter and house batt wire on 24 ft trophy with merc 5.7 i/o. the distances for any one run would be less than 15 ft . house batts are 2 golf cart batts as 12v . can i use 4 ga wire for all of my rewire? thanks

Yep,that is the standard gauge for that distance and engine type.
