Well, as a Trophy owner, I'd have to say I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the boat line. It's every bit as good as any of the other mid tier boats such as Pro Line, Sea Swirl, Wellcraft, Aquasport, etc. Fit and finish is good, the oversized fiber glass over foam stringers are strong, the hull is well made hand laid fiber glass (no foam, wood, etc core), all fittings are stainless steel, through bolted and bedded, color coded marine wiring (though lacks shrink tubing on the fittings), has rigging tubes to protect the wiring and aid in adding accessories and is an all around good boat. It's a heavy boat with a decent deadrise which makes it very stable and with the 2002/2052 on up has a sharp entry and bow flair which makes for a dry ride. It's not in the class of a Regulator, Grady, etc but neither is the price.

It does have a wood core transom, no access to the fuel tank without cutting the deck (like a lot of other manufacturers), has plastic through hull fittings (not bad in and of itself) and lacks some amenities (when are they going to mould in cup holders! on the 18 & 20 WAs). My 2003 1802 WA has given me two seasons of trouble free operation and I'm now stepping up to a 2005 2052 WA with hardtop, all bells and whistles and a 4.3L FWC. So as a second time buyer you know I was satisified with the first.

I looked at them, new and used, before I bought my current boat. If they were maintained they seem like they were good boats. I have a soft spot for the 2357 hardtop (I think that's the number) but couldn't find a nice one at a price I could pay. New they're over 50K.
