Removing bearings from the bearing carrier, i noticed a piece missing off the o-ring channel wall. Is it headed to the scrap heap? Is it repairable?

Might even be too far gone to make good junk. Just kidding, but yes it is no good.

Well, I wanted to learn. I sure am getting schooled.

Thanks F_R. I'll be ordering that as well.

abgarza, I would make that opinion after seeing the price of a new one. If the prices is reasonable, it would be scrap. But if a new one was in the hundred dollar range, I would be repairing that part. So it really depends on the price to replace. Some times parts can be repaired if you have the machining capability.

Thank you gm280. I found a new old stock for $75.00. I already ordered it and will sell off or return the bearings i don't use. I wasn't sure if that part could be repaired or not.
