Newbie boat owner. Recently bought used and now applying a few fixes / improvements before hitting the lakes / rivers.
Current motor is 1996 Force 120 HP OP on 1996 Bayliner 1700LS Bowrider. Will be used 2 x Adults with 2 x kids for light body weight tubing and slow/medium lake / river speed touring. Nothing too wild. And, noting too fast. Simple stuff - until I learn how to drive it.
Motor currently has 21P Aluminum prop and previous owner said it sometimes "lugs". He recommended a 19P replacement. And, he also stated 17P would be too aggressive (for this 17ft light weight boat and general driving conditions). Since its current 21P is chipped (to be re-welded and used for backup PROP), I was thinking of replaceing with NEW 19P Aluminum.
Should I replace with Hustly Aluminum 19P ( http://www.iboats.com/TP-Hustler-3-...1-LE2-1319-Hustler-Aluminum/dm/view_id.929173 )?
Or, is there a better brand (or size) of prop within the same price range?
thanks.
