You can paint it any color you want. Just don't refer to it as "restored to original" when you sell it on eBay! ;) I hate it when I see those motors all dolled up, often nicely done, but clearly VERY incorrect in the paint & polish department – and the sellers refer to them as "completely restored" with no mention that they're extensively customized.

People don't sell Eska's nwcove....they give them away :watermelon:haha, old three six scotts Atwaters are just a tad better for resale. $40-50 un dolled, I would say locally Rons 3.6 if it ran good could fetch him 200$ to the right person in a local ad, all pertyed up like that. His choice of his free style colors are great and keeping the original Firestone font...actually the original was a norrow 1/2-5/8 red front taper ended 7 1/2 inch long band with a thin gold border on the font and a silver rectangle operations instruction sticker on the back of the tank; refer to my Scott Atwater post, I plan to do a my 57 10hp SA in "Super Banana Yellow" :D

Hey mrcrabs, I think super banana yellow would be cool. maybe black and white trim. I had the font made at a local copy shop, cost $10. repos are like $49 plus shipping. too much for a $22 motor. putty, patch, and red kote, rustoleum, cleaned and polished some, set points added gas, started with drill and it fired up and idled just fine. I have 2 leftover firestone labels I would probably give away.
I have a 3.6 wizard but can't find decals for. probably have something made. going with a powder blue with white and black trim and leaving the rest off white.
I can't get it to idle, put a kit in it but maybe I have a air leak between carb and block. will replace that gasket and try again.
Good luck with SA and post pics.
Would like to find an Eska to go with my western autos, montgomerywards and firestone.

If I may ask, what exactly did you have made? Decals? I have an Eska Golden Jet 600 that originally had kind of funky paint/graphics. There might be enough left on the motor to get a picture for a person to work from if a graphics shop can make something for a reasonable price.
