Is it ok to run a twin engine cruiser on one engine.

Is there a problem running a sport cruiser on just one engine for extended trolling? The cruiser has OMC stringers, so just about the entire unused out drive will lift out of the water. The only real problem I see is that only the port engine has the only power steering pump.

Absolutely no isues at all. I see a lot of twin screws with lopsided engine hours due to that very reason. In a real world it would be nice to switch back and forth to keep your hours about the same. ;)

Lopsided engine hours also occur due to always starting one engine sie before the other, but there's no issue in running one engine. I just wouldn't make a habit of loading the engine too much (like cruising) as it would be tough on the engine/outdrive to push that much weight by itself.
