Is it possible to straiten prop shafts?

I was wondering if anyone has ever had a bent prop shaft straightnd and if so did you take it to a machine shop or somewhere else. I just bought a boat with a 2000 25hp merc on it. It is a great motor and boat and i got it for a good price but the motor had a bent prop shaft and was leaking gear oil from around the prop. What do you think i will need to fix these problems and how much work might i get into? I also am having trouble getting the prop shaft out any tips for doing this?

This is a very good question that I would like to know the answer to as well...before I fork out $200 on a new shaft for my motor, plus seals and bearings...

Yes, our local hydraulic shop does it for us and any good machine shop can.
