1986 v6 175hp serial OB209907<br /><br />Good spark cylinders 1,3,5 right side<br /><br />No spark cylinders 2,4,6 left side<br /><br />Is it the switch box?

Yes, Sounds like one of the switchboxes is bad

If there are two switch boxes, try swaping them around. Sometimes there is one for each bank of cylinders.

Could be a switch box or a stator. The stator has five windings, one for battery charging, 2 low speed for switch boxes, 2 high speed for switch boxes. Do you have a Multimeter?<br /><br />Chris.........

Engine has two switch boxes. I'll run stator test from manual. If stator is ok, I'll replace outer switch box that is attached to the left bank of cylinders.
