Hi,
Can anyone out there tell me how good Mark Twain boats are? My inlaws are looking a '85 25ft. mid cabin with a 260hp. Its a little worn looking but clean. The big problem is that the cabin windows, hatch and deck fittings seemed to have been leaking a lot (stains all over the cabin) and the plywood floor in the cabin is warped from water damage (I think).
Just wondering if we can fix the leaks and it is mechanicall sound, is Mark Twain a good boat???? Their asking price is $9000 with trailer and new camper top.

Thanks!

In-laws.... hmmmm

Check this web site http://www.nadaguides.com/ for the worth of the boat and the listed value is needing NO WORK. Basically they are asking too much and from the "son in law" !!!!!

If the motor is in good shape yes all the problems are repairable. They do demonstrate that there was a lack of maintenance and care.

Just be careful.

Yes they are good boats.

Bob  Had a great day on Lake Champlain today!
