Is my 1970 Chrysler 35 hp bone dry from last season? Initially I stored Bone dry before I learned about Stabil about 10 years ago. I started leaving Stabil treated fuel in the sys w/o any problems the next season. The water is so low in our North Tx area we made 3 painful trips last season and felt we were done (and we are still done). The water level is just as bad and we/I have called this season off as 3 in 2003-06.

I did not document running the Carb Bone Dry (with no fuel connected until it w/n start or show in fuel bowl or emptied). If the Carb’s bowl and the fuel pump’s bowls are bone dry I should be ready to store another season w/o gumming issues correct?

I hate to load-up fuel and fire-up in the 55 drum to prove all is run dry. Should I force feed Carb cleaner through carb w/o lines attached, blow lines clear if needed and store as Bone Dry? Thanks
