IS MY BATTERY DYING ????

I always ck my batts real close .How much charge is going into them at various stages of charge. What volts are after charger lites go green . Always ck water level. yesterday got home from lake looked at water in middle batt could not see plates the water in every cell is black , other 2 batts are clear & can see plates . Is this battery dying or what please help. thanks

i was always told to look at the caps if they are white caps they should have a black like sulfer look on them this means that they charge is boiling off the deposits on the plates witch is a good thing the sells that dont have that are dead or dying. i dont know how true that is but it makes sence to me as far as the water color in the battery itself i am not sure but i can ask the battery man at my job when he comes in thats a good question i do know you always want the plates covered
