Is my old Dell Pen4, 2.8 GHz, 2 gig of ram too slow for the new upgrade? Or! Is it just slower and erratic due to the bugs that are being worked out?

I don't think it's you computer. Tried it on my wife's new HP laptop and on my Dell Quad core 3.00 GHz 8 gig of ram and it''s slow and buggy with a lot of error messages when I post something. They still have a ways to go with the bugs.

Thanks for the reply. I wondered if my AT&T provider was part of the problem but others sites seems OK.

Nope! It's not your system nor is it your provider. Although I can post, I still get the standard error message and the forum failing to refresh after each post. And yes, I have to wait like 20~30 secs after posting just to get that error message and from there I can tell my post went through and just click back on the forum to get back to the topics. With the upgrade of this forum nothing is more appropriate with the old saying, "If it works don't mess with it!"

When I post and then hit "post reply" it freezes and then I have to hit the "back" arrow at the top of the page.
It then goes back to the forum and I can go on to the next post.
It does post the reply.
They didn't do any good when they "improved" the site.
PITA.
I had a bunch of pics that helped with some posts, they disappeared with the "improvements"
