Is my prop "REALLY" messed up? (Pictures)

It looks like a 3-jaw puller was used to remove the prop somewhere in time. The only thing I see is the dings in the ring. I don't know if the dings would affect performance.

How does the boat perform now?

Pop blades looks fine with just peeled of paint from use and time, take that prop to a pro shop and have the dings on the ring re shaped round, could have some unbalance issues on the ring side when at full throttle.

Who was the butcher who used a screwdriver to lift up the locking tabs? Don't let that guy work on your boat anymore.

I agree with Bruce. Looks like a screwdriver used as a prybar. I'd say it's repairable by someone experienced in metalworking. - Grandad

With a small ball peen hammer and a convex block I could have that prop look like new again. There really isn't much there to fix. A few small dings but that is about it. And I have to agree somebody used a prying effort that caused those dings in the outer ring. You can buy a tool for that effort or make one out of a channel lock type pliers. That's what I did back when I had that type prop setup. I don't see much of a need to replace that prop in my view... JMHO!

I would just bend it back with a hammer. Those bends won't affect performance much at all
