I have a 1965 1110 six mercury outboard 110HP and cannot get it to start. I replaced all the electrical wiring following a diagram, all three carburators are injecting fuel, replaced all the sparkplugs wires and replaced the sparkplugs as well. I double check the firing order, and have good compression on all 6 cylinders. How do i know if the timing belt needs to be replaced or if it's out of timming? <br />There is spark/fuel/fire. Help guys!

Get you a manual and look up "Timing and Synchronization". The illustrations will help you determine Top Dead Center and how to match distributor pulley up to flywheel.
