Hey guys been a year or so since i've been on here. I want to know if My merc control will fit a used engine im going to look at today. I have a 1978 mercury 800 80 Hp with the old style Merc Control. I'm going to look at a 1986 Mercury Mariner 80hp. Are the wiring harness's the same?
Any help is gladly appreciated. Bought my first boat last year and never got it running right! Rebuilding carbs now and found alot of gunk in there so hopefully the problem. Getting a good deal on this used engine though so buying if runs right.
