Is oil for lower unit same as 90w gear oil

I have access to free 90w gear oil is it the same ?

no, use HiVis, outboard lower unit oil, it has additives incase of water intrusion.

Thanks T Daddy. I tried to find some info with no luck I thought there must be some diff. too bad free is always good
