Is Summer Boating Over...Rebuild?

I have a '88 70 HRP VRO. I haven't used the boat in two weeks.

The engine started fine today. I revvved really high and normal "out of gear".

I put the engine in gear and powered out of the dock and the boat just had no power. I checked plugs, etc. The all looked good. The engine always had one cylinder with low compression (just under spec). I fear that I may have lost that cylinder. Since at idle it has plenty of power, but in gear is does not.

Anyone have any ideas?

check your compression, and spark on all cylinders, and post the results, please.
