is the aq 12b and aq 130c block the same?

i have a gentleman interested in buying my boat ,he blew his 130c motor and has the same 270 outdrive but am not sure if he wants to yse his parts on my engine or just replace the whole engine and run mine.he has a 73 bayline aq 130c with 270 outdrive ,i have the aq 125b with 270 outdrive are they compatible for him to bolt my engine up to his 270 outdrive?

No, the engines are different in many ways.

The aq125 is an overhead cam, freshwater cooled motor. The aq130 is a raw water cooled, pushrod engine.

However if you have the entire drivetrain, I would think a guy could swap the motors without too much trouble. I've never done that swap so I cant say for sure...

The blocks are different.
The bellhousings are too.
The transom shield is the same.
So you should be able to swap the whole motor.
The connecting parts,cables,wiring and the other stuff might be fun but should be fixable.
