The 1997 is a 935 cc and shares the engine block with 40 and 45 hp of the same year models. There is three different carb setups for the three models.
The 2001 is a 995 cc and shares the engine block with 60 hp of the same year model. Threres only one carb setup on these models and 50 or 60 hp is set by a restrictor plate.
Cylinderhead seems to be the same for both types.
My 1997 carbs are a bit mistreated and left with old gas to varnish and clog jets and passages. I've been offered to but a complete set from a 2001.
On the 2001 the accelleration pump and choke/enricher is included in to each carb. On the 1997 there's one common accelleration pump and a lot of link rods and solenoids and stuff for the auto choke and high idle.
Can i take the carbs from the 2001 and put it on my 1997? Or will there be a problem with the jetting? If so does anyone have any tips here?
