Is the Merc prop selector wrong?

I'm looking to put on a 4 blade prop for better low and mid range performance as I am getting into towables for the family (was primarily fishing). My current prop and performance numbers are:

Boat weight 3800# (Aluminum console)
Honda BF130 5-6000 RPM
3x13.75x15 SS Prop
WOT RPM's 5800 (with 2 people and 45 gallons of fuel)
WOT Speed 34 MPH (GPS)

The Mercury prop selector is recommending a Trophy Plus 17P. Shouldn't it be selecting something with a lower pitch? From what I understand (maybe incorrectly) is that a 4 blade will automatically lower rpm's from a similar pitched 3 blade. Going up 2" will also decrease rpm's. Won't that be too much and too close to my lower rpm limit for WOT?

Recommendations?

It's a guide that gets you close. It can't take all contributing factors into consideration. It usually gets you within one prop size and it did. :)
