Is the water out?

Hi, all. Just finished winterizing (sob). Something I have wondered every year just before I put her up for hibernation: how do you know all the water has drained from the cooling system? Is an outboard designed to self drain COMPLETELY after it has stopped running?<br /><br />One other quick thing. Did a search for 'winterizing' and got hundreds of hits. Was looking for a straighforward checklist but couldn't find one. Any links?<br />MajBach
