Mine are gone, obviously... I'm looking at coaming pads to cover, think that might work?

They are called bolster pads, strictly used as a finishing touch. Coaming pads are almost identical, except they have more foam on them. Use 1/4"-1/2" foam on some backing plywood and you've effectively recreated what is missing.

The finishing touch is the welting cord that is applied to the back of the pads to seal where the pad meets the gelcoat. If you don't have a way to make it, go to an upholstery shop with your material and they stitch it up for you in 5 minutes. They might charge you $5. I would do it for free. You don't have to have it, but it makes a big difference in the finished product. Look at your other mounted pads for comparison.
