Is there a way to "Un-Supercede" part numbers

So, this may be a little unique. A buddy of mine and I bought the surplus parts stock of a long defunct OMC and Merc dealer from the widow. We ended up with a lot of new-old stock. Problem here is the part numbers no longer match the new computer generated super-ceded numbers. Now, we have the microfiche machine and many of the little plastic cards but they are by no means complete. We also have the current book which lets us turn the old numbers into new numbers but that would be a ton of work to look up each little number and write the new number on it.

Question is: Is there an easy efficient way to take a modern part number and look up the original mid 70's to early 90's number?
