I have a 1980 230hp 350 omc. On one side of the engione the bolt you remove to drain half the engine block is rounded off so bad its impossible to remove without drilling it out. I cant drill it out at the angle its at either. I tried all the lubricants out there, the head of the bolt is just to rounded. Is there another way to remove most or all of the water from that side without removing this bolt? Is there a hose i can remove and use airpressure to push it out? The block is empty at the moment but to run and fine tune the engine I need to run water through it.

Can you get vise grips in there? I have removed lots of rounded off stuff on cars with them. I have a set you can tighten with an allen key so you can get em as tight as possible.

fill the bilge with some water for safety, run the bilge blower, then heat the block around the plug with a propane torch or similar - don't heat the plug if you can help it.
snap Vise Grip brand Vise Grips with the rounded jaws on there tighter than you ever thought you could, and it should come out.

I'm serious about the brand of pliers. There's something about the jaw shape that ViseGrip must have a patent on, because all the store brands pale in comparison.
Grab the plug in the middle of the curved jaw so the teeth really dig in.
