Is there any differance between 87 and 88 cobra drives?

Found many 87 cobra drive manuals on ebay for sale, only one 88 at three times the price...can I use the 1987?

Have 5.7 gm with cobra outdrive....1988

Even checked the publishers website that I found in this forum, no 1988 manual....

OMC manuals go by model #, not year. That said, the "87" book will cover 99.9%, if not all depending on model, and how many recall upgrades have been performed on your package, and there were many...

I think you should be ok but if your not in a rush fir the manual just keep looking on eBay.

I got my 89 OEM manual for $50. But right now there's only one for over $100.

So if your not in a rush the. I think you'll find an 88 one.

You can also save a search on eBay and it will email you every day if a new one comes up.

Post your model number. You may actually have an 87 drive in a 88 model boat. Very common.
