The prop on my 2004, 5.0L (220HP), Mercruiser Alpha 1 drive is stamped with the following part number: 48 832830A45 19P

I found out that this is a 14.5" x 19 Pitch, Aluminum, Mercury Marine Black Max prop. Does anyone know if this is a cupped prop? My prop appears to be cupped but this may have been caused by running aground on a sandbar (no rocks) at 3100 RPM!

Very few props for planing boats today are not cupped.
Sounds like you need to make a trip to the prop shop.

I'm surprised at the lack of apparent damage to the prop and outdrive. The paint is just about gone on the skeg and outer portion of the prop blades. Sand blasted! Anyway, I will be picking up a new prop and using my current one as a spare. I wasn't sure about the "cupped" issue though. Thanks DJ.
