I have a 6 person hot tub. She works well. No issues. Someone wants to trade me a 23' century cuddy cabin. The motor has 50hrs on a rebuild. The interior has been reupholstered. The person who has the boat is 71 and says he would rather sit in a good hot tub than boat around. I have never had anything larger than 16.5ft open bow. Would this be a good trade? Any input would be awesome :D

No way to tell if it's a good deal without knowing more about the boat. What year is it? What kind of motor, drive, etc. What kind of shape are the stringers and transom in?

Figure out what the hot tub is worth on the market and what the boat is worth. Then you'll know whether it's a good deal or not.

If it floats, runs and you dont fall throught the floor, yea its a good trade in my book. But i have no use for a hot tub.

We just went through a similar scenario. Debated trading our old motor home (27 ft) for a Ceria 2750. After a moment pondering the idea we ran not walked to make it happen. In my mind we got the best side of the deal.
So my opinion for what is worth is go for it, enjoy it and laugh as u cruse forward.

Good luck

Looks like a good deal if you will be happy with a cuddy. bow riders and deck boats have more room for kids and my grandkids love to ride in the bow of our deckboat, the little girls especially. Our previous boat was a 20 ft cuddy, wife and three boys. I don't think anyone ever spent more than a few minutes in the cabin except on the rare occasions we camped out.
