Was thinking about getting this boat as a project Motor and all controls work. Just needs the floor redone. How hard would this be?

800 is a bit steep IMO .. 100 bucks would be offer and that would be generous. That’s if it had a title ...

No you will spend 4 times that to redo and make it useable by the time you do seats and new stringers not counting many, many hours of labor itching.

Although I will say I expected mine to cost more to repair than it was worth, and I hate the money I am spending, but am living the new experiences and challenges. So its all in what you want out of it, and what its worth to you.

It is going to be a lot more difficult than you think, it will take longer than you think and it will take much more money than you think, with the amount of rot damage it has, you are going to have to replace the transom as well, which means pulling the cap. That can be a challenge depending on the resources you have available to you.

It depends on how good you are with restoration and mechanical work. $800 seems steep. The trailer may be worth abut $200 and the engine, if it runs about $300. The boat is probably $0, since it needs restoration. So maybe get yourself a deal at $400-500

Plan on replacing the stringers in addition to the floor. Overall, it is not a difficult restoration, because the boat itself is pretty simple.

Don't assume that the engine will work under load conditions, just because it 'works' (runs).

In addition to the structure/flooring, it looks like you will need to get seats for the boat. Plan on about $700 for the wood, fiberglass, resin and foam materials. Then whatever seating costs. Also plan on some $$$ for the engine.

Maybe $2K as a budget + the cost of the boat. (so about $2500)

Does the seller have clear title/registration for the boat? Have you checked the state regulations in your area to understand what you will need as proof of ownership to properly title/register the boat? (show stoppers if not)
