i was asking this question in a slightly related thread that was started by someone else, so i figured i'd clean it up a little and make it easy by making a quick thread dedicated to my exact question.
i bought a '75 evinrude 50hp, that i already paid for, but haven't gone and picked up yet. now i'm concerned it might be an electric shift model, which i didn't know beforehand to avoid.
so to help you help me in determining which type i have, i'll post the part number, which is 50573B and the diagram:
thanks gang,
-peter
