I've got a factory mercury prop on my 84 90hp inline 6. Prop's part # is 48-77346a-4 19 pitch. I think the prop hub has spun and I want to replace it. I pressed out the old one, and the old one looks totally different than the replacement spec'd online. All I could find for a replacement hub was the mercury flow-torq II hub, which was spec'd as being the replacement for a wide range of years and HP ratings, which mine falls into, or so I thought.
The new hub kit looks totally different than the old one. Is this the right hub kit for my prop? Has the hub kit design been totally revamped but still compatable with my old prop? I couldn't find any other hub kit online for my prop so now I'm wondering if the flow-torq 2 hub is the one I want. I don't really want to replace the whole prop because I'm going to be selling the boat as soon as I get the new hub in there and make sure everything's working properly.
