Is this thing on? Can't any of you help?

Been asking this question for two days but no one will even address it. You guys even took the time to help the guy with the impeller question that would have taken two seconds of searching for him to find out. My upper unit input shaft is locked up on my volvo 280. It was fine when I removed it. I pulled the shifting plate to inspect and now it the ujoints won't turn. It just feels like something is locked. Please help.

Sometimes it takes time for your post to be seen by those with the answer. In the mean time, don't keep posting the same question over and over, this is #3. Just bump your original post and wait. All the help here is free after all and the more knowledgeable are taking time out from their paying jobs to provide answers.

Not a good time - site software is so screwed up a lot of potential sources may be staying away out of frustration.

Travis, as others stated things are a little off right now. But, could better explain the issue? Are you saying that you removed the outdrive, replaced the bellows and ujoints, and reinstalled the outdrive and now your trying to spin the prop by hand and unable to?

Sorry if I came across like a jerk, this boat has been a serious headache. Mainly because the previous owner didn't mention some things. Thanks for at least talking to me. Haha Upper unit is off of the sterndrive. The ujoints shaft will not rotate. The vertical shaft will rotate. I became fed up and brought it to a boat shop this morning. I'm hoping the shift mechanism is adjusted wrong or something. The only thing I did was pull it off, removed the back shifting plate (wish I hadn't) to inspect the inside for any obvious problems and replaced the ujoints. Ujoints won't turn in neutral or in gear.
