I realize that is an unusual post topic, but I am curious if my boat sits lower in the water than others. I have a 24' Sportcraft Walkaround with a 5.7 litre engine and Alpha one outdrive. I usually trailer my boat, but on vacation I was able to keep the boat in the water at a dock. I mention all of that because I never noticed before how low my boat sits in the water. While tied up at the dock, my outdrive is completely submerged - including the top cover.

Is that normal? I tried comparing it to other boats, but most everyone else has outboards.

Water Level on Mine(1974 Starcraft Islander, Fully Dressed for Salmon/Walleye Trolling on Lake Ontario, Transplanted 4.3LX/Alpha 1), is about 3"s Above the top of the outer Transom Shield...........
Even with the Tilt in the Trailer position,
My Prop is Still Underwater........
