I am in the process of installing a FWC system on my Mercruiser 165 IL6. I bought a stainless steel plate that goes in between the elbow and manifold. Do you use the same gaskets as w/o this plate? The gaskets still have the openings for the water passages except now its blocked off by the plate? Also, the plate I bought has a small hole in one side. I didn't notice this until I got home from the store!! I think this is incorrect, some kind of vent hole?

And by the way....bondo, the end cap worked out great. I will send you an email

Yep,
You're Right......
You've got the Wrong Plate.....
Obviously you need to Block it, No Vents....
Gaskets really don't matter, IF the Plate has No Holes.......
