I have a 84 17’ sonic mark twain 470 merc. Im having issues with some of the wiring in it.
We Took it out for the 2nd time this year too just make sure everything was running good. we cruised it around for about a hour and half, going slow, then speeding up. Just too make sure everything handled and ran good and it ran really good for a while. Until we were going about 20mph and i slowed it down and just idled it for a little, (maybe 2 minutes) then it died on me. I cranked it over and about the 3rd crank with a little bit of gas it started! We drove around for another 10mins and then i put it in idle again, and it died. I tried cranking it over probably 5 or 6 times, and then it just died completely. My trim still works (up and down which requires power to do so) but i had no power to anything on my dash at all? It wouldn't even click when i turned the key? I got it home and my batteries are fine but nothing works besides the trim which is (wired separately from the dash gauges, stereo, ect)
all my fuses on my dash aren't blown or anything.

anythings helps thanks

Hi check the breaker on the engine should be on the left side of the engine where the big plug with all the wire get plugged in too. Hope this helps !
