I just recently purchased a new Fisher Pro Hawk 17 from JACO marine in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. When I picked up the boat it was storming so I did not get to do a complete check.

It rained most of the way back to Arkansas and when I did get a chance to do a full check of the boat I was amazed. The motor was gouged and scratched, decals were scratched, boat roller guides had rubbed almost through the sides, the steering wheel was out of align, the windshield was cracked, the motor was 2 quarts low on oil, a cranking battery was substituted for a trolling motor battery and the rear seat screws were stripped. Also when I put the boat in the water it leaked badly.

Upon contacting JACO they agreed to replace the windshield but nothing else and after two months still no windshield. I contacted Fisher both by letter and phone to no avail. Finally I contacted Bass Pro who manfacturers Fisher and got some relief from the COO office. I take the boat back at my expense on the 8th of this month and will see if all the issues are resolved.

Bottom line be careful if you are dealing with JACO marine as they are not the same dealership as they used to be. They do not put customers first!
