any ideas on how to find this would be appreciated.
1990s Stevens TR2 ski boat , was V drive converted to center mount , 500 Hp 5.7 Vortec.

it leaks in around 10 liters of water per 3 hours in the water , not enough to sink it ,but just enough to pose a threat to my OCD :).
although it gives the hull a nice clean after each outing and is only used in a fresh water lake i would still like to know where this pesky leak is coming from

the things i have tried to find this leak ,
filled hull to top of bearers with water , poked and pushed around underneath to ssee if i could get a stream from somewhere.
fully dried out and put in water left tied on the trailer .almost to deck., obvious areas water come in going that deep, like steering rudder cutout , bilge outlet ,ect.
ran on the lake with all interior pulled , checked shaft gland seals , exhausts , water inlets , all the obvious spots like screws on underwater gear , center fin , cav plate and not a drop.
so all back together , first time out "" water again"" around the same amount .

there is no rhyme or reason for the water to come in ,it just does this randomly?? ,
example: the other day we went out , did a lap of the lake full noise , come back , parked , checked , not a drop , went to start for another lap 10 or so min later , fuel pump dead , so the boat sat unused ,we put it on the trailer 3 hours later opened the drains and it was like a water fountain.

I'm open to ideas as its in bits ATM for more investigation.

with a dry bilge

put boat in water while being armed with a good flashlight, your cell phone camera and an inspection mirror

fire it up and look for water.

mystery solved :
got in the boat with 4500 psi washer , sprayed all the underwater fitting that were accessible , " not a drop leaked underneath ".

Soooooo , with that, it was out with the hose and filling the hull again, i noticed a small dribble around the exhaust outlet , IMO was not enough to account for the amount of water coming in .(pic to come).
i keep filling with the hull jacked up at the front so as to get as much water to the rear . kind of the angle the boat sits in the water (helpful hint if anyone else has a mystery leak)...
without warning all of a sudden water is pouring out around where the rudder stay mounts (pics to come) .
this in my boat is in a semi enclosed cavity , looks as if the cavity was filling whilst sitting slowly dribbling into the hull area , when the boat when on the trailer water in this cavity emptied into the boat.
best way to describe the mystery is a 2 hr job to fix it but the boat will be water tight now :).
