Spring must be here. Every year we have a woodpecker that comes here; AND, starts pecking on our metal furnace exhaust. He is at it this morning, first time this year. It sounds like rapid taping -echos though the house. First year couldn't figure what was causing the noise until went out side and saw it for ourselves. After a series of pecking at a rapid pace he calls, listens and pecks again. Carries on about 10 min. then quits. Does this several times during the day -- week or two he stops -- then we only see him in the big cottonwood by the house.

Cool - it's now spring time in So. Alberta!

Havent preped the boat yet but I think about it most every day!

Speaking of Honkers, have yall ever noticed that when they, and a lot of other species, fly that it's in a V pattern and one side of the V pattern is always longer than the other. Do you know why that is????
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
There are more birds on that side.  :D

No signs here yet. Heck we still get some flakes of snow still. Definetly tired of it. Haven't even come close to thinking about uncovering the boat yet. Damn ground hog anyway!

Funny thing is the day the temperature gets above 40 we all drive around with windows open, walk around with short sleeve, etc.

At least at UWM, the short skirts are out year round. :D :D :D

Back home, Wisconsin, the tulips poked up through the snow about this time. Never could figure out how they knew.

Re: It Must Be Spring

OBJ I'm guilty as charged. Posted my question and thanks again for the help. I swore that I wasn't going to put off working on this outboard but I did. Weather wasn't real cooperative this winter and I still have a transom to rebuild so I had to wait on warmer weather. The engine that I have had for a month and a half is a different story. Could have worked on it in my shop but still have it hanging on the stand in the back yard. My excuse is that I can see better in the daylight than shop light.

Your just one of many fireman. No problem. Not every guy has a workshop they can work in thru the winter so most just wait for warm weather to do there work outside. No biggy.... :)
