It will trim down but not up

To trim my '84 Mercruiser up, I have to use the trailor button on the control arm. The toggle switch will bring it down, but not up. Any help?

Get an ohm meter and start hunting for a broken wire, loose connection or a corroded connection. Do one wire at a time. The T & T is working just not with right switches. Get a manual and it will give you the proper wiring diagram.<br /><br />Bob

As Bob says, its got to be between toggle switch and TT. Also check the switch itself to be sure its closing circuit when you toggle it toward up. Just be glad it isn't broken the other way, because at least you've got the trailer button for backup.<br /><br />BL...
