It's down to two boats... (Legend or Starcraft)

Hello friends,

As a new boater, I'm very grateful for the advice given to me on previous posts. So, thought I'd ask for your opinion on two boats I'm seriously looking at this weekend: 2016 Legend Xcalibur and 2017 Starcraft Marine Titan 186.

Both come with a Mercury 115 HP, four stroke. I'm leaning towards the Legend because it's within my budget - about $5K - $6K less. Both are in very good shape overall.

I'd mainly be using as a fishing boat, but would like to use to tow my kids on a tube from time to time as well... Many thanks...

Starcraft manufactures the hulls for Legend and ships them to Canada for final assembly. Thus, your 2 choices are probably quite similar.

Looks like a nice fishing boat. If you want to go tubing you may need to change the prop for optimum performance.

Choosing between the 2 is going to require a close inspection.
