ran on all three after I reglued the magnet in the flywheel.. got it to the lake and right back to how it ran when I bought it.. changed the coils, moved the coils, no change.. going to replace all the connectors on the trigger wires and try a different cdi box from a 50hp.. Number 1 or the top hole is dead.. although at one point in this madness the bottom hole was dead and the top hole was firing.. then after I glued the magnet they all fired until I got it in the water.. boat has no leaks.. so that's a plus.. what's the most common problem with these ignition systems..??

Thanks folks..

The stator is the most likely to be a problem.

outboardignitiondotcom or CDI Ignition both have test procedures for your motor.

From outboard ignition.
You'll need an analog style meter.
NO FIRE OR INTERMITTENT ON ONE CYLINDER:
  1. Check stator and trigger resistance, trigger wire sets read approximately 50 ohms between the wire sets (DVA-5V or more), stator reads 680-800 ohms, DVA 180V or more from blue to yellow.
  2. If readings are good, disconnect kill wire from one pack. If the dead cylinder starts firing, the problem is likely the blocking diode in the other pack.

Looks like the stator from the 50hp I have is the same part number, gonna try it see what happens

I just swapped the stators and no change.. that don't mean it's not the problem it might just mean I have two bad stators cause neither engine has run proper for me soooo... changing the cdi box next
